The Gunthers
In May of 2011, I donated a photo session in a silent auction to help raise money for Federal Hill Preparatory in Baltimore City. I am not married and I don’t have children, but I do believe in the power of community supported by good education, because we are all in this together, in one tapestry. The lucky family who won my session was the Gunthers.
They have two very active boys—who were very fun to work with. As soon as they got out of the car, they were running around playing and crashing into my reflector, laughing, running some more. They were boys being boys. In some ways, they reminded me of when my cats were kittens, playing cat bowling—or their version of Angry Birds.
We lucked out with perfectly warm autumn weather (a few weeks before, it had been cold and gray). The session took place at Kinder Farm Park and by a dock around Severn Park, Maryland.
