Funeral At Arlington National Cemetery

May 21, 2014 | Event, Family

This spring I was commissioned to photograph a memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery. When I was initially approached by the family about this job I wasn’t sure since I have yet to document a funeral.

However I was honored to be asked to document the passing of their grandfather who served in the United States Marine Corps. The weather was uncooperative–the bitter cold, snow everywhere, and the mud. Through it all the service was heartfelt and humbling–the silence, the gun shots, and the remembrance.Thank you for your service and your courage.
