Berlin, Deutschland

Sometimes a cancelation is a direction to an unexpected surprise. This morning a photo shoot got cancelled and I decided to clean a bit. During the process I found a SM card tumbling in my old bag. When I downloaded the content, it was some of my photos from Berlin–it brought a sadden smile to my face.

Dear Berlin,
Often when I walk around in another city I pretend I’m with you. Still listen to the music we enjoyed together, the crisp air, and the enthralling energy which you encompassed me. Strolling by water conjures memories of Maybachufer, how much time we spent together almost everyday. You helped me set a new standard of “how long a walk should be” when each week I would take an hour walk towards Oberbaumbrücke only to get organic peanuts at Boxy markt.

I dearly miss all the organic, none-GMO food I had during my stay. Plethora of warm memories walking on Schönhauser Allee, Prenzlauer Allee, Eberswalder Straße. And almost every Sunday the fun and excitement at Mauerpark.

I’m thinking about the fireworks that go off when you smile. Ich vermisse dich.
